While some fans firmly believe that Rauw Alejandro is gay, there's no evidence that the Latin superstar is anything but a cis heterosexual man. He rarely discussed his sexuality or sexual orientation and was engaged to a woman.

Rauw Alejandro's gender-neutral fashion takes, sex-positive music, and sensual dance moves have contributed to the speculation surrounding his sexuality. The visuals of his music videos, however, are explicitly heterosexual.

Regarding his dating life, the Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, and actor has been linked with some of the most beautiful women in the music industry. However, he was once engaged to a woman he called his muse, which ended in mid-2023.

Social Media Users Speculate Rauw Alejandro Is Gay

"Getting into Rauw Alejandro's music, omg this gay man has HITS…………" a user posted on X. "I'm ready to fight anyone who was spreading rumors about Rauw Alejandro being gay because he wore a crop top!?" another one threatened in August 2022.

The star had worn a crop top at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards in May 2022 and was undeterred by the speculation the garment sparked surrounding his sexuality when he donned another one in a GQ spread.

"How much longer til Rauw Alejandro comes out as gay and/or trans ?" A fan asked not long after Alejandro and Spanish singer Rosalía called off their engagement in July 2023. "Rauw Alejandro is so cute, but he gives me gay vibes sometimes," one admitted.

"I need Rauw Alejandro to confirm if he's gay or not….. like do I still have a chance or am I chopped liver," a lovelorn fan wrote. "Apparently, Rauw Alejandro is gay & my wife is devastated," another remarked.

Few Latinx stars have come out in the music industry. In his coming out video on his YouTube channel in June 2020, Raymix explained that many in the industry tried to dissuade him from making the clip.

Later that month, Pablo Alboran shared with fans that he is homosexual and that nothing will change other than being "a little happier" than he already is.

What Rauw Alejandro Had Said about His Sexuality

"Sexuality is a part of our nature and also love, too. My music connects with people because of that." Alejandro said in an April 2023 interview about his collaboration with his then-fiancée, Argentinian musician Rosalía.

He was photographed swimming with newly divorced Shakira.

A three-track EP named for their initials, "RR," is a lasting reminder of the love the pair shared. A month prior, Rosalía had coyly stated that the RR tattoo on her foot was her most "meaningful" ink. Alejandro also has her name tattooed above his navel.

The Famous Women Rauw Alejandro Has Been Linked To

A month after being first spotted together at a Los Angeles restaurant in August 2021, Rosalía and Alejandro went social media official on TikTok and Instagram. The couple made a heart on Rosalía's TikTok.

After making their red-carpet debut at the Los 40 Music Awards in Spain, the Puerto Rico singer kissed his girlfriend onstage upon accepting an award and called her "his muse." They announced their engagement in the "Beso" music video on March 24, 2023.

A tabloid confirmed their split on July 25, 2023. Alejandro denied that infidelity caused the end of their relationship, which he reportedly referred to as his truest love story. The self-professed "ladies' man" has since been linked to two famous women.
